THE ROLE

The Indirect Purchasing Specialist is responsible for enabling effective and responsible procurement across all non-product domains of the company. This includes managing the purchase of goods and services required by any department — from routine operational needs to ad hoc strategic projects — while maintaining control over cost, compliance, and execution standards.

The role ensures that purchasing is carried out with financial discipline, timely delivery, and alignment to internal expectations, supporting company performance through structured sourcing and vendor management practices.

YOUR CHALLENGE

Operational Purchasing Enablement

• Act as the point of contact for all indirect procurement requests across the organisation
• Manage purchasing workflows from request validation to vendor coordination, PO issuance, and delivery confirmation.
• Provide timely, reliable, and compliant purchasing support across diverse internal needs.

Supplier and Contract Management

• Identify, qualify, and manage vendors and service providers supporting indirect procurement.
• Negotiate favorable commercial terms and maintain proper documentation of contracts and supplier agreements.
• Track performance and proactively address delivery, quality, or cost issues.

Cross-Departmental Support

• Collaborate with any internal team or function to understand procurement needs.
• Translate informal requests into structured purchasing actions with clarity and accountability.
• Provide guidance to ensure internal compliance with procurement policies.

Cost Control and Budget Stewardship

• Align indirect purchasing activity with approved budgets and cost center allocations.
• Monitor variances, support accrual and invoice matching processes, and maintain financial accuracy.
• Identify savings opportunities and ensure responsible use of company funds.

Process Development and Policy Execution

• Maintain and continuously improve procurement processes, templates, and approval flows.
• Promote adherence to standardized procurement practices while enabling business flexibility.
• Ensure auditability and compliance across all procurement activities.

Sustainability and Ethical Procurement

• Support the company’s sustainability goals through responsible sourcing practices.
• Ensure that vendors operate in accordance with ethical, social, and environmental standards.

SCOPE OF INFLUENCE

• Internal Reach: All departments and functions requesting non-product goods or services

• Vendor Management: External suppliers and service providers (excluding software and core product sourcing)

• Financial Accountability: Collaboration with Finance, Accounting, and Controlling teams

YOU WILL ROCK AT THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE...

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.

3+ years of experience in indirect procurement or operational purchasing roles.

Strong negotiation, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.

Comfortable managing multiple priorities and requests in a dynamic environment.

Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate purchasing and vendor records.

Fluent in English and Spanish.

Preferred Attributes

Background in fashion, retail, or creative industries.

Experience working in a multi-departmental, fast-paced organisation.

Familiarity with purchasing policies, cost control practices, and internal audit requirements.
