THE ROLE
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) defines and executes ALOHASâ global technology strategy to enable scalable, secure, and high-performing systems across all sales channels and operations.
The role covers Data, Digital Platforms (Shopify & B2B), ERP, Infrastructure, and IT, ensuring full alignment with ALOHASâ omnichannel modelâretail, e-commerce, and wholesaleâand the companyâs cross-border, multi-entity operations.
The CTO transforms technology into a core strategic asset, supporting growth across multiple markets and business models while maintaining efficiency, data integrity, and global compliance.
YOUR CHALLENGE
- 1. Technology Strategy & Architecture
- Define and implement the companyâs global technology roadmap across all systems.
- Build and maintain a unified, modular architecture supporting multi-entity, cross-border operations (EU, UK, USA, Asia).
- Enable seamless integration of retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels.
- Partner with the CEO, COO, and PMO to align technology initiatives with business growth and scalability goals.
- Establish governance for prioritization, security, and lifecycle management.
- Own end-to-end data infrastructure, including extraction, transformation, and orchestration (BigQuery, dbt, Dagster, Python, Cloud Functions).
- Ensure reliable and centralized data serving all channelsâB2C, B2B, and Retail.
- Oversee the analytics layer, dashboards, and data delivery for decision-making.
- Guarantee compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and robust data access controls.
- Promote a culture of performance tracking and data-driven decision-making across all functions.
- Lead development and maintenance of Shopify as the core omnichannel CMSâcovering e-commerce, retail POS, and marketplace integrations.
- Oversee B2B (wholesale) digital platforms, portals, and integrations to ensure a unified experience for partners and clients.
- Ensure omnichannel consistency across sales, inventory, and customer data.
- Partner with Retail, Sales, and Marketing to enhance customer and partner journeys through technology.
- Supervise integrations between Shopify, ERP, CRM, and logistics partners for end-to-end visibility.
- Manage Odoo ERP as the backbone of operations, integrating Finance, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Retail, and Wholesale.
- Ensure accurate cross-company transactions, intercompany flows, and tax compliance across multiple entities.
- Oversee system setup for international trade, multi-currency, and multi-warehouse operations.
- Support the Finance and Operations teams with automation, reporting, and audit readiness.
- Drive digitalization and efficiency across the value chainâfrom production to customer delivery.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, devices, and internal systems across offices and warehouses.
- Manage onboarding/offboarding, access controls, and endpoint security.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and business continuity plans.
- Own infrastructure spend and vendor relationships, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain robust monitoring and escalation procedures for all critical systems.
- Lead and structure a multidisciplinary team covering Data, Digital Product, ERP, and IT domains.
- Define team roles, KPIs, and professional development paths.
- Build a delivery-driven culture with clear accountability and documentation standards.
- Recruit and retain high-caliber technical talent and manage external technology partners.
- Encourage collaboration with PMO, Operations, Retail, and Sales teams to align technical delivery with business priorities.
- Conduct periodic capability assessments to ensure alignment with ALOHASâ growth and complexity.
- Prioritize refactoring, modularization, and process automation to reduce technical debt.
- Implement CI/CD practices and ensure code quality, testing, and version control.
- Lead evaluation of emerging technologies for commerce, analytics, and operations.
- Balance experimentation (MVPs) with disciplined production deployment.
- Guarantee documentation and handover practices across systems.
- Define and implement the companyâs global technology roadmap across all systems.
YOU WILL ROCK AT THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE...
- 8+ years in technology leadership, preferably as CTO, VP Engineering, or similar
- Proven experience in omnichannel or fashion/retail environments with international footprint
- Strong understanding of Shopify ecosystem, ERP (preferably Odoo), and B2B digital platforms
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), data architecture, and modern ETL tools
- Experience managing multi-company and cross-border operational systems (EU/UK/US)
- Proven success leading diverse, high-performing teams and external tech partners
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, and IT governance best practices
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- A system-oriented, pragmatic, analytical mindset with global perspective and sleeves-rolled-up attitude.
- A collaborative style that bridges business and creative teams.
- The ability to balance innovation with operational rigorâfavoring simplicity, resilience, and good documentation.
