THE ROLE

Are you passionate about product development and eager to make an impact in a fast-growing fashion brand? At ALOHAS, we are looking for a Product Development Specialist to drive and optimize our product development process. You will play a key role in bringing innovative designs to life, working closely with the Design, Merchandising, and Production teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to final product.

YOUR CHALLENGE

• Master Data & Product Lifecycle Management:
  • Maintain and oversee all product data in our PLM system, ensuring accuracy in product information, BOMs (Bill of Materials), measurements, and specifications.
  • Act as the key point of contact for cross-functional teams, providing relevant product information and resolving inquiries from departments such as Customer Service.
  • Ensure all necessary updates are properly documented to support transparency across teams.

• Product Development & Execution:
• Lead product development from the prototype stage to final production, ensuring quality, feasibility, and adherence to timelines.
• Manage sample approvals (proto, counter-sample, pre-production), ensuring that products meet ALOHAS’ standards.
• Collaborate closely with designers, suppliers, and manufacturers to optimize materials, finishes, and production techniques.
• Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to implement improvements in product innovation and efficiency.
• Continuously seek opportunities to enhance design, fit, and production efficiency while maintaining brand aesthetics.
• Validate new materials and processes before they are implemented in production to ensure long-term quality and durability.

• Process Optimization & Strategy:
  • Proactively manage the product development calendar, ensuring alignment with key milestones and deadlines.
  • Support sustainability initiatives by sourcing innovative and responsible materials while maintaining quality and commercial viability.
  • Analyze sales and return data to drive improvements and make data-informed recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with factories, suppliers, and material vendors to optimize collaboration and ensure product excellence.

YOU WILL ROCK AT THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE…

• 3+ years of experience in product development, preferably within fashion, footwear, or accessories.
• A deep understanding of materials, production processes, and product construction techniques.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and experience with PLM systems (CENTRIC or similar).
• A solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work in fast-paced environments and tight deadlines.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• A passion for innovation, quality, and continuous improvement in product development.
• Willingness to travel when necessary to visit factories, attend trade shows, and research new materials.
