THE ROLE

Reporting to our Head of IT the Backend Developer at Alohas will be working on some of the most exciting projects in the business. We are creating an exciting new approach in e-commerce.You will be responsible for the server side of our applications and data integration.

If you have excellent programming skills and a passion for developing applications or improving existing ones, we would like to meet you. As a Full Stack developer, you’ll work closely with our team to ensure system consistency and improve our overall performance.

YOU WILL BE INVOLVED IN:

• Creating integrations for our CMS (Shopify) and working in server side app
• Developing reusable components, building a highly scalable framework
• Liasing with other departments to understand and translate their needs into code
• Working with Rest Api, Webhooks , Java, Native React
• Use of TDD methodology, test driven mindsetç
• Learn emerging technologies and propose new technologies to improve our backend or frontend architecture.
• Creating queries in SQL , GraphQL, Bigquery.
• Work with HTML5, CSS3, JS, JSON,Node, React, and other technologies to create advanced, seamless experiences
• Ability to work with GIT.
• Deep appreciation for, and understanding of good web design. You don't need to be a designer, but you should "get it."
• Well versed in Responsive Web Design techniques and mobile performance

YOU WILL ROCK AT THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE...

• Candidates must have known HTML, CSS, Node, JavaScript, React, AJAX,Java, Bigquery or similar languages/frameworks
• Strong programming fundamentals.
• Good command of English and Spanish
• Agile mindset, working in an agile environment.
• Strong work ethic, and excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Git practices
• You understand how high available, globally cloud deployed, distributed systems work
